About Us

Travel Better.

So, here’s a shocker: we’re not getting any younger. I know, who saw that coming? Lately, we’ve noticed ourselves slowing down and, honestly, enjoying travel in a whole new way. Take Santorini, for example. We found ourselves meandering those twisty, uneven footpaths, watching porters with calves of steel lugging suitcases up and down the hills. Just watching them made us tired. We’d thought about bringing my mom along, but after seeing the terrain, we realized that would have been a heroic (and possibly regrettable) idea. That got us thinking about how much walking, overdoing it, and general well-being matter as we get older. Turns out, we’ve been quietly shifting our travel style—less hustle, more comfort, and a slower pace. Sometimes we feel a little guilty for not being the go-go adventurers we once were, but the upside is we’re actually getting to know places and soaking up local life in ways we never did before.

Our curiosity hasn’t gone anywhere. We still love finding new places and getting a little lost. The real change after 45? It’s not what we want to see; it’s how we feel after trying to do it all. Jamming in too many stops, endless walking, and that old fear of missing out just left us wiped out. When we started looking for ways to travel smarter (and with less limping), we were surprised at how little real advice was out there.

Most of what we found online seemed to fall into two camps: either slow down and do almost nothing, or splash out on luxury trips where someone else does all the work (and you pay for the privilege). Neither of those felt like us.

For us, travel has always been about being present—catching the little details, lingering over a great meal, and actually feeling like we belong somewhere, even if it’s just for a few days. We’re not interested in traveling less. We just want to travel better.

So now, we plan our trips with pacing, downtime, and comfort as must-haves, not guilty pleasures. Once we started listening to our own energy (instead of pretending we were still 25), travel actually got fun again.

That’s why we’re giving our site a little makeover. We’re focusing on practical, real-world tips and guides for travelers over 45 who want inspiring trips that are comfortable, well-paced, and don’t require a second mortgage.

If you’re looking for travel that fits the life you have now, you’re in the right spot.
