We explored the Andaman Sea, with stops at Poda Island and Pirate beach, where we snorkeled and swam. As we toured Chicken Island, the crew Bar-b-qued fish, shrimp, squid, chicken wings and mussels on the deck of the boat. As sunset set, we made a quick stop on Railay Beach. The beach is enclosed by tall cliffs, that glow with the sunset light. Accessible only by boat, we took the small dingy ashore where we explored small alters and rock climbing cliffs. As the sun sets, the beach fills up with everyone trying to capture the perfect moment.
Trip Details
For the last night of our vacation, we wanted something a little special. We found this cruise through Viator.com, and after reading reviews, we purchased Romantic Sunset Cruise with BBQ Dinner. The tour offers hotel pick up and drop off, dinner on board the boat, snorkeling and some fantastic views of sea and sky. There were about ten couples on the ship, and there was room for all of us to relax and not be on top off each other. The staff was friendly and engaging and ensured all our needs were met. They ensured our safety and even provided snorkeling instructions for a couple who had not snorkeled before. The BBQ dinner was a mix of tasty seafood and rice. We ate on the deck of the ship, enjoying the sea air. A shore excursion to Phra Nang Beach gave us a brilliant sunset surrounded by limestone cliffs, making the beach feel secluded and private. It was the perfect end to the trip. After re-boarding the ship, we enjoyed a beer on the deck as the final rays of the sun went below the horizon.
