Day 1: Arrival & Easy Start

- Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Most likely, a cab will be your best way to get to your hotel.
- Check in and explore the hotel.
- Get a light snack and a drink at the hotel or a nearby spot.

- Early dinner on the beach watching the sunset
- Return to the hotel for an early night.

Day 2: Naxos Highlights

Morning/Midday/Afternoon
- Enjoy a full-day island tour by bus. Let someone else do the driving while you enjoy the sights and learn about the island with a local guide.
- Our tour featured a ceramics shop, an old mill, and several villages. We sampled local liquor and learned about the distilling process. We had a lovely lunch in one of the villages, enjoying watching the local life under the shade.



Early Evening
- Relaxed dinner and sunset. Honestly, it never gets old.

Day 3: Beach & Capital at A Slow Pace
Focus: Experience Naxos more deeply
Morning
- Enjoy a relaxing breakfast

- Pick a beach chair and enjoy the sun and water before the midday sun reaches its peak.

Midday:
- Head to Chora for a leisurely lunch
- Wander through the old market and the Venetian castle.
- Explore the side streets back to the port.



Late Afternoon
- Café break along the port road with a view of the water
- Head towards the Portera as the sun sets for a beautiful view.
Evening
- Enjoy dinner in town or head back to the hotel with takeaway.

Where to Stay
Best Areas for an Easy, Enjoyable Stay
- Main Naxos/Chora Area – close to the ferry, Old Market, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. This area is convenient, but the beaches are 20 minutes away.
- Agios Prokopolis – right on the beach, more relaxed than Chora but about 20 mins from town. Nice mix of restaurants.
- Agia Anna – focus on tourists with beachfront restaurants and a walkable area.

Travel Tips for a Smoother Experience in Naxos
- If you are making Naxos part of a larger Greece vacation, taking the ferry from another island is the easiest way to arrive. Usually under 3 hours on the ferry.
- Coming from Athens, the 45-minute flight is the best way to arrive. Limited flights and connecting cities in and out of Naxos can make connecting harder to plan.
- Once on the island, most people recommend renting a car,
