Why It’s A Must-Do

The tour explores the entire island with several key stops, including history, local makers, and smaller villages. This gives you a great overview of the island with commentary from a local guide. You really get a sense of the island, its people, and its culture. It takes the guesswork out of where to stop, where to drive, and what to see. You just sit back and soak it all in.

What To Expect

Pick-up is from various locations – you advise where you are staying, and they will let you know the closest pick-up locations. Once everyone is on board, the bus heads out of downtown and begins making its ascent into the mountains. The tour guide shares the history of the island and how it influences Naxos today. You stop at Venetian ruins, a village famous for ceramics, 2 villages for lunch (on your own), and then on to a viewpoint overlooking the sea, before heading down into a seaside village and then home. Each village stop gives you ample time to explore.

The crystal clear water is perfect for seeing sea life. The kayaking is not strenuous; in fact, you feel like you are gliding over the water. You get to explore Naxos from a different angle. The half-day tour lets you add in another activity or relax at one of the amazing beaches.

What To Expect

After checking in, you will get a quick safety check and overview of the equipment. The kayaks are set for two; each guest receives snorkel gear and a dry bag. Then you push off the shore and begin exploring coves and the coastline. The trip makes 3 stops for snorkeling and exploring the area. After returning to the starting spot, there is lunch at a local taverna.
